UNDERSTANDING YOUR KNEE PAIN

Why does knee pain happen?

Knee pain can have a number of causes, which is why understanding what's driving yours is important.

It could relate to the way your knee is moving and tracking, weakness in the muscles around it, or even issues originating from your hip or ankle.

Pain during walking, squatting or climbing stairs can also be linked to how load is being transferred through the knee, particularly around the kneecap and surrounding tissues.

The problem isn't always just the knee.

Issues with strength and movement around the hips and legs can influence how your knee moves and handles load, which is why looking at the bigger picture matters.
